Leader In the Region

Kootenai Heart Clinics and Kootenai’s Heart Center physicians and staff have recently reached an impressive milestone of over 700 Watchman cases, making it the leader in the region for this procedure.
The WATCHMAN Device is a minimally invasive procedure that helps prevent stroke in patients with atrial fibrillation (AFib), especially those who cannot take long-term blood thinners. The device blocks the left atrial appendage (LAA), where blood clots form, reducing stroke risk.
The physicians who perform the procedure are: Dr. Eric Wallace, Dr. Michele Murphy-Cook, Dr. Clinton Thurber, and Dr. Ronald Jones.
This accomplishment highlights the expertise and dedication of the team in providing excellent care to patients.
Kootenai Heart Clinics consists of a network of locations in Idaho and Montana. These clinics provide heart patients across the northwest with the highest level of comprehensive cardiovascular care available.
All Kootenai Heart Clinics physicians are board certified cardiologists who provide general cardiovascular care. In addition, Heart Clinics patients who require subspecialty care can receive treatment from physicians specializing in electrophysiology, echocardiography, nuclear and invasive or interventional cardiology.
