Advanced Care Directives
Advice, tools and resources to help patients and community members make the decisions and legal documentation on their preferences during end of life care. Learn more.
A safe and affordable home away from home for families and patients to stay while seeking treatment at Kootenai Health. The Walden House provides overnight accommodations located right on our medical center campus. Learn more.
Respite Care Program
An affordable, convenient and safe day center available Monday through Friday, for individuals with disabilities including dementia, Alzheimer’s, traumatic brain injury, Parkinson’s, MS, etc. The program is open for drop-ins or regular attendance. The center provides social activities and meals in a safe, caring environment allowing family members who care for them a time to take care of themselves. Learn more.
Lifeline is a medical alert system which allows seniors to live independently more easily. With the push of a button, seniors can alert emergency services of a problem. Learn more.
Community and Patient Support Services
Families can schedule consultations regarding services that may be needed for an elderly parent or disabled loved one such as guardianship issues, resources, or end of life decisions. Local support groups from cancer to diabetes are also available. Learn more.
