I believe exceptional care begins with listening. I take the time to get to know each patient’s unique circumstances, values, and goals so we can work together to create a care plan that reflects what matters most to them. I encourage open communication and welcome the involvement of family and loved ones whenever patients find it helpful. My goal is to help every patient feel informed, respected, and empowered, especially when facing the challenges of heart surgery.

One of the most rewarding parts of my work is educating patients before and after open heart surgery. A cardiac diagnosis can feel overwhelming, but I believe knowledge and understanding help build confidence and reduce anxiety. By ensuring patients understand their condition, treatment plan, and recovery process, I hope they feel more prepared and actively involved in their care.

I work closely with our cardiac surgeons and the rest of the healthcare team to provide coordinated, comprehensive care throughout the surgical journey. I also believe that patients are most successful when they feel respected and trusted. Whenever appropriate, I support the least invasive, most effective treatment options and regularly review medications and care plans to ensure they continue to meet each patient’s needs. Helping patients navigate complex surgical care and recover successfully is one of the most fulfilling aspects of my profession.
