Summary
I believe the best healthcare begins with listening. Every patient has a unique story, and my goal is to provide compassionate, individualized care that reflects each person’s values, goals, and circumstances. I encourage patients and their families to be active participants in their care, creating treatment plans through open communication, shared decision-making, and mutual trust.
As a pulmonary and critical care physician, I care for patients with a wide range of complex lung diseases and critical illnesses, including COPD, asthma, interstitial lung disease, pulmonary hypertension, and life-threatening conditions requiring intensive care. I combine the latest evidence-based medicine with a thoughtful, personalized approach, always striving to help patients breathe more comfortably, regain function, and maintain the quality of life that matters most to them. Whenever possible, I pursue the least invasive, most effective treatment options and work closely with other specialists to ensure coordinated, comprehensive care.
Having grown up in North Idaho, it is a privilege to return home and care for the community that helped shape me. I recognize that health is influenced by more than medicine alone, and I consider the social, environmental, and personal factors that affect each patient’s well-being. As Kootenai Health continues to grow as a regional referral center, I am proud to help expand access to advanced pulmonary and critical care services, delivering high-quality care that is both clinically excellent and deeply rooted in the values of the community I am honored to serve.
