Summary
I provide compassionate, evidence-based pulmonary and critical care centered on each patient’s individual needs, goals and concerns. I believe patients and families should understand their diagnosis and treatment options, feel comfortable asking questions and be active participants in decisions about their care.
Collaboration and communication are especially important when caring for patients with complex or serious illnesses. I work closely with patients, families and the broader health care team to coordinate care across specialties and settings. My goal is to provide clear communication and thoughtful transitions so patients and families feel supported by a connected team throughout their care.
I believe every patient deserves to be treated with dignity, respect and compassion. I take time to understand each patient’s values, beliefs and priorities and incorporate them into treatment decisions. When considering medical or surgical interventions, I balance the potential benefits, risks and burdens of treatment. I support timely intervention when it offers meaningful benefit while taking a less invasive approach when it can achieve an equal or better outcome with fewer risks.
I chose pulmonary and critical care medicine because of the complexity of caring for patients with serious and life-threatening illnesses and the opportunity to make a meaningful difference during some of their most vulnerable moments. I value the collaborative nature of critical care and remain committed to evidence-based practice, clinical excellence and continuous improvement in the care we provide.
