I believe patient-centered care begins with listening and understanding what matters most to each individual. I take the time to learn about my patients’ needs, concerns and goals while making sure they understand their diagnosis and treatment options. Through open communication and shared decision-making, we can develop an individualized care plan that patients understand, feel comfortable with and have an active role in shaping.

Continuity and trust are also important parts of my approach. I strive to be a consistent resource for my patients from their initial evaluation through treatment, follow-up and ongoing management. By understanding the full picture of a patient’s health and coordinating with other members of their care team when needed, I can help ensure their care remains connected and comprehensive.

Urologic concerns can be very personal, and I want every patient to feel heard, respected and comfortable discussing their health with me. Whenever possible, I focus on the least invasive, most effective treatment options while clearly explaining the choices available so patients can make informed decisions with confidence.

My interest in urology began before PA school while working in the specialty as a medical assistant. That experience gave me an appreciation for the complexity of urologic care, the relationships built with patients and the collaborative nature of the care team. Becoming a physician assistant allowed me to take a more active role in patient care and clinical decision-making, and returning to urology after PA school felt like a natural fit. I’m grateful to continue caring for patients in a specialty that has been such an important part of my professional journey.
