Summary
I believe great care begins with listening. Illness can be frightening and overwhelming, so I take the time to get to know each patient’s unique situation, explain their condition in a way they can understand, and ensure they feel informed throughout their care. When patients understand what is happening and are active participants in the decision-making process, they are better equipped to take ownership of their health, leading to stronger outcomes and lasting partnerships.
Every patient has different goals, values, and priorities. I work closely with my patients to develop individualized care plans that reflect what matters most to them, and I encourage open conversations that include family members and loved ones whenever appropriate. I believe every patient deserves to have a meaningful voice when discussing treatment options.
Healthcare is a team effort. I collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide coordinated, comprehensive care and help ensure there are no gaps in communication throughout a patient’s journey. When specialized care is needed, I connect patients with trusted local and regional partners so they receive the right care at the right time.
My approach to treatment is grounded in evidence-based medicine. I focus on the most effective, least invasive interventions whenever possible, ensuring every medical or procedural recommendation is guided by the best available evidence while remaining personalized to each patient’s needs.
Growing up in a family of medical professionals inspired my path into medicine. During medical school, I became fascinated by the electrocardiogram (EKG)—a simple tracing that tells an incredible story about the heart. My desire to better understand those stories led me to cardiology and electrophysiology, where I now have the privilege of helping patients improve their heart health every day.
Outside of work, I enjoy biking, building furniture, playing chess, solving puzzles, and cooking.
