Summary
I believe surgery is both a privilege and a profound responsibility. Over more than 25 years in practice, I have learned that the most important part of a patient’s care often happens before they ever enter the operating room. It begins with an honest conversation. My goal is to ensure every patient understands their diagnosis, the available treatment options, and the benefits and risks of each approach so they can make informed decisions with confidence.
Having experienced major surgery myself, I understand the uncertainty and vulnerability that patients often feel. That perspective has shaped the way I practice. I strive to treat every patient with the same honesty, compassion, and respect I would want for my own family, recognizing that behind every diagnosis is a person with unique concerns, hopes, and goals.
My approach is grounded in evidence-based medicine and individualized care. Whenever minimally invasive techniques, including laparoscopic or robotic surgery, offer the best outcome, I incorporate them into my practice. At the same time, I believe every patient deserves a thorough evaluation, particularly when facing complex conditions or when previous opinions have suggested that surgery may not be an option. Through shared decision-making, we work together to determine the treatment plan that best aligns with each patient’s needs and values.
I believe exceptional surgical care requires both technical excellence and genuine compassion. My commitment is to provide thoughtful guidance, meticulous surgical care, and unwavering support throughout every stage of the patient’s journey, helping them feel heard, informed, and confident in the care they receive.
