Summary
I believe the foundation of great care begins with connection. When I meet a new patient, I take time to learn something unique about them and their story. In orthopedics, injuries often come with memorable experiences, and sometimes sharing a laugh can help ease frustration and open the door to meaningful conversations about diagnosis and treatment. My goal is to create a comfortable, approachable environment where patients feel at ease and supported.
Continuity of care is an important part of achieving the best outcomes. Many patients see me regularly throughout their treatment, and when a transition is needed whether to another provider or a surgeon I prioritize clear communication and coordination to ensure a smooth handoff and the best possible result.
Respect and collaboration guide every decision we make together. While I provide expert medical guidance, I believe patients remain in the driver’s seat of their care. I discuss treatment options, risks, and benefits openly, and work with patients and, when appropriate, their families to develop a plan that aligns with their goals, lifestyle, and abilities.
In orthopedics, there is often more than one effective treatment approach. I typically continue care with patients pursuing nonsurgical options, while remaining transparent if a more advanced or surgical intervention may offer benefit. The human body has a remarkable ability to heal, and when appropriate, modern medical and surgical techniques can help support or improve that process.
I chose orthopedics because movement is fundamental to quality of life. How people move is closely tied to who they are and what brings them joy. Helping patients recover from injury, manage pain, and return to the activities that matter most to them is deeply fulfilling.
Outside of work, I enjoy spending time outdoors hiking, camping, fishing, skiing, and boating with family and friends. These activities keep me grounded and connected to the importance of staying active and engaged in life.
