Summary
Melanie graduated with her Master degree in Occupational Therapy from Loma Linda University (Loma Linda, CA), and has experience working with both adults and children in school, inpatient, and outpatient settings. She has been involved in the field of architectural design, specializing in Universal Design for functional spaces of homes that are ADA compliant and support “aging in place”. Melanie’s current occupational therapy passions revolve around pediatrics, neurodevelopment, sensory and motor development, early intervention and developmental therapy. She uses a holistic and client-centered approach, and has a desire to help guide and support the foundational occupations of secure attachment, bonding, feeding, and play skills. Melanie is excited to partner with parents and help all children achieve maximum independence in their activities of daily living and to reach their fullest potential. Outside occupational therapy, Melanie loves being a mother to her 6 beautiful children, spending time together as a family exploring the Pacific Northwest and North Idaho photography, listening to music, baking, and swimming at the lake.
