Summary
My philosophy of care is grounded in compassion, collaboration, and respect. I believe high-quality healthcare begins by seeing each patient as a whole person, not simply a diagnosis. Every patient brings unique experiences, values, goals, and support systems that should be considered when developing a care plan.
I strive to create an environment where patients feel heard, informed, and actively involved in their healthcare decisions. Open communication and shared decision-making are important to me, and I encourage patients and their loved ones to participate in discussions about treatment options and goals of care.
As a hospital medicine nurse practitioner, I work closely with physicians, nurses, therapists, case managers, and other members of the healthcare team to ensure a coordinated and comprehensive approach to care. Strong collaboration and continuity across disciplines are essential to providing safe, effective treatment and successful transitions of care.
I am committed to recommending the least invasive, most effective treatment options whenever possible while honoring each patient’s preferences and values. I also believe that providing exceptional care requires continuous learning, self-reflection, and professional growth. I strive to practice with integrity, accountability, and empathy while upholding the mission and values of Kootenai Health.
With a foundation built on ten years of bedside nursing experience, I bring a deep appreciation for patient advocacy, teamwork, and compassionate care to every interaction. My goal is to help patients and families feel supported, respected, and confident throughout their healthcare journey.
