Summary
I believe the best care is built on partnership. Every patient brings unique experiences, values, and goals, and I strive to understand what matters most to each individual. By encouraging open communication and shared decision-making, I help patients become active participants in their care and develop treatment plans that align with their needs and preferences.
As a nephrologist, I believe comprehensive care requires close collaboration with primary care providers and other specialists. Kidney disease is often complex and affects many aspects of a person’s health, so I work closely with the broader care team to ensure patients receive coordinated, evidence-based care throughout every stage of their journey.
I also believe that treatment plans should evolve with each patient’s condition and goals. I regularly review medications, discuss alternatives when appropriate, and help patients understand their options so they can make informed decisions with confidence.
I chose nephrology because it is an intellectually challenging specialty that offers the opportunity to build meaningful, long-term relationships with patients. I enjoy the lifelong learning that comes with caring for people across the full spectrum of kidney disease, from early prevention and management to advanced kidney care.
Outside of work, I enjoy reading, traveling, and taking time to daydream and reflect.
