I was care flighted to Kootenai Hospital after a bike crash on the Route of the Hiawatha. I had severe injuries to my face and arm. All of the staff, from the ER personnel to the floor nurses, were efficient and well-trained, but also kind and compassionate. I could never say enough positive things about them. But, two people in particular were extra wonderful- Dr. Crabtree, in the ER, and Dr. Thomas De Tar, my ENT. They both not only provided expert care, but went above and beyond in my follow-up care. What could have been a life-changing traumatic experience negatively, instead is just a little bump in the road. I am forever blessed that I was taken to Kootenai Hospital that day.

The Doctors and all of the staff at Kootenai Health are exceptional. The care from the ER, surgery and post op was outstanding. Everyone was competent and caring. A special hats off to Nikki the graveyard nurse. She made the stay a lot less scary and much more pleasant. Thanks everyone!!!!!! Craig L.

I came into the ER with severe pain and thought I was having a heart attack. Once I was put into the wheelchair, my care was superb!!! The ER doc was relentless in finding out why such pain and was communicating with me every step of the way. I was admitted with gallbladder issues which required surgery. The nurses were all wonderful!! The discharge nurse was the sweetest thing ever!! I would suggest that the "greeters" at the ER desk learn how to be more attentive and compassionate.

The care at Kootenai Medical is top notch. Grateful to have them in our community
