- Hospital Medicine
Summary
I believe patients and their loved ones should feel heard, understood and informed throughout their care. Medicine can be complex and overwhelming, particularly during a hospital stay, so I strive to reduce that uncertainty through clear communication and education. I take time to explain each patient’s condition and treatment options in a way that helps them make informed decisions, while respecting their individual values, preferences and goals.
As an internal medicine physician, I take a comprehensive approach to caring for acutely ill and medically complex patients, considering both the immediate reason for hospitalization and their underlying health conditions. Whenever possible, I focus on the least invasive, most effective treatment approach and work closely with other health care providers to coordinate care. I also place a strong emphasis on preparing patients for what comes next, ensuring they understand their care plan and working with their primary care providers to support a smooth transition after discharge.
