Summary
I became a neurosurgeon because the stakes are real. Conditions affecting the brain and spine demand precision, sound judgment, and an unwavering commitment to doing what’s best for each patient. By the time someone comes to see me, they’re often dealing with pain, uncertainty, or fear. Many have already seen other providers and are looking for clear, honest guidance.
My responsibility is to provide that guidance.
My training at Harvard and Johns Hopkins gave me the opportunity to develop expertise in complex spinal reconstruction, endoscopic skull base surgery, and neurotrauma. I chose to bring those skills to Coeur d’Alene, where I live and where my patients are also my neighbors.
I believe patients deserve straightforward answers. I will explain your diagnosis, discuss all appropriate treatment options, and recommend surgery only when I truly believe it offers the best path forward. If surgery is not the right answer, I’ll tell you that, too. My goal is never to operate unnecessarily, but to help you make an informed decision based on the best available evidence and your individual circumstances.
When surgery is necessary, I approach every case with meticulous preparation, focus, and attention to detail. My commitment is to provide the highest level of care while earning the trust my patients place in me. Above all, my goal is to help you achieve the best possible outcome and return to the life you want to live.
