Summary
My approach to care is rooted in partnership, respect, and collaboration. I work closely with patients so they can be active participants in their care, taking time to understand their experiences, cultural identities, values, and goals. I believe care is most effective when it is personalized, inclusive, and centered on what matters most to the patient. Open, collaborative conversations are central to my practice, and I encourage patients to involve those important to them in decision-making when they choose.
Education is a core part of patient-centered care. I believe knowledge is empowering, and I prioritize clearly explaining diagnoses, treatment options, and expected outcomes so patients can make informed decisions with confidence.
Continuity of care is especially important in mental health. With five years of experience as an outpatient psychiatric provider, I understand the value of coordination across care settings. I collaborate with other providers and connect patients with trusted local and regional resources to support comprehensive care beyond a single visit.
Respect is foundational to every patient relationship I build. By honoring patient preferences and inviting their input, I strive to earn trust and become a reliable partner in each patient’s mental wellness journey.
Treatment planning is an ongoing process. I regularly review medications, explore alternatives when appropriate, and stay current on emerging therapies through continued education and national conferences to provide evidence-based, up-to-date care.
I chose to work in mental health after witnessing how access to compassionate, effective care can help people live full and meaningful lives, and how limited access can have devastating consequences. This perspective continues to guide my commitment to advocacy, accessibility, and patient-centered practice.
Outside of work, I enjoy running, reading, hiking, paddle boarding, and baking, which help keep me balanced and present in my work.
