Summary
Heather graduated with her Master of Arts in Speech and Language Pathology from San Jose State University and has her Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech and Hearing Association. Heather is also Vital-Stim™ certified. She has particular interests in swallowing and feeding disorders as well as early childhood language development. Heather has extensive experience working with children who present a variety of communication challenges and enjoys working with the parents to develop appropriate strategies that enable children to strengthen their emerging language skills. She has attended several professional development courses for infant and pediatric feeding and oral motor disorders. Heather currently is working with a multi-disciplinary team of physical therapy, social services, lactation, and dietitians for a developmental follow-up clinic for at risk babies for feeding delays. Heather lives in Coeur d’Alene with her husband and blended family of 8 and spends her time playing outside enjoying the beauty of northern Idaho.
