As a born-and-raised Idahoan who grew up in Post Falls, it is an honor to return and care for the community that shaped me. I believe hospital medicine requires rigorous, evidence-based care combined with clear, compassionate communication, particularly when patients and their families are navigating critical illness or difficult decisions. I strive to explain complex medical information in plain language, respect each patient’s values and autonomy, and provide thoughtful guidance so patients and their loved ones feel informed, supported and understood.

I also recognize that a hospital stay is only one part of a patient’s health journey. I work to ensure patients understand their care plan and next steps before leaving the hospital and coordinate with their primary care providers to support a smooth transition after discharge. It is a privilege to care for members of our local community as well as patients from surrounding rural areas who come to Kootenai Health for specialized care.
