Summary
My approach to care is deeply patient centered and grounded in partnership, respect, and continuity. I take the time to understand each patient’s unique situation, personality, cultural identity, and beliefs so that care is always delivered with respect and understanding. I work collaboratively with patients, encouraging them to be active participants in their care and involving those who are important to them in the decision-making process. Together, we develop individualized care plans that reflect each patient’s priorities, values, and goals.
I am committed to continuity of care and believe that strong coordination leads to better outcomes. I work closely with other health care providers to ensure a comprehensive, seamless approach and actively identify and address gaps in care through preventive screenings, nutrition support, and other appropriate resources. When needed, I advocate for my patients by connecting them with trusted local and regional care partners.
Respect is central to every interaction. I honor patient preferences and values when discussing treatment options and consistently invite patient input, making it a priority throughout the planning process. Each treatment plan is individualized, with patient preferences guiding every decision.
When medical or surgical intervention is necessary, I focus on the least invasive and most effective approach whenever possible. I regularly review medications, explore alternatives when appropriate, and use my clinical knowledge to develop thoughtful treatment plans that are discussed in depth with patients to ensure understanding and shared agreement.
My decision to pursue medicine was inspired by my father, a family physician in a small town. Growing up, caring for people and serving the community was a daily part of life, and that experience shaped my commitment to compassionate, community-focused care.
Outside of work, I enjoy listening to jazz and classical music, playing the piano, cycling, hiking, exploring the arts, and reading classical literature and history.
