Summary
My philosophy of care centers on partnership, communication, and helping patients achieve their individual health goals. I believe the best outcomes come when patients are active participants in their care, so I encourage open, collaborative discussions and involve family members or loved ones whenever appropriate.
I strive to create an environment where patients feel heard, respected, and empowered to share their concerns, preferences, and priorities. Understanding the “why” behind a treatment plan is important, and I take the time to ensure patients understand their diagnosis, recommended care, and what outcomes they can expect. Together, we develop a plan that aligns with their goals and supports their overall well-being.
Continuity of care is also an important part of my practice. When specialized services are needed, I advocate for my patients by connecting them with trusted local and regional care partners to ensure they receive comprehensive, coordinated care.
I chose to specialize in digestive health because gastrointestinal function has a profound impact on quality of life. It is incredibly rewarding to help patients overcome bowel and digestive concerns so they can return to living their lives with greater comfort, confidence, and freedom.
Outside of work, I enjoy traveling and reading, which help me stay curious, balanced, and connected to the world around me.
