All locations accept walk-ins. No appointment is needed. Some tests, including certain genetic tests, may require prior insurance authorization.
Quick, Urgent Care for Minor Emergencies
Kootenai Urgent Care provides high quality comprehensive medical care for non‐life threatening illness or injury without an appointment seven days a week. Not sure when to seek care? Check out these common scenarios below.
Broken Bones
For minor fractures, pain, swelling, or bruising of the hand, wrist, foot, or ankle.
Cold & Flu
For flu symptoms such as fever, cough, sore throat, body aches, or feeling suddenly sick.
Bee Stings
For bee stings with pain, swelling, redness, or reactions that are not severe.
Cuts & Lacerations
For minor cuts, lacerations, or wounds that may need cleaning or stitches.
Stomach Pain
For mild abdominal pain, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, or stomach discomfort.
High Fever
For fever lasting several days, not improving, or causing ongoing discomfort.
Sore Throat
For sore throat, painful swallowing, swollen tonsils, or symptoms that are not improving.
Ear Infection
For ear pain, pressure, drainage, hearing changes, or possible infection.
Sprains & Strains
For joint or muscle injuries with pain, swelling, bruising, or trouble walking.

What We Treat
We care for a broad spectrum of ailments:
- Sprains and strains, minor fractures, dislocations, sport injuries
- Lacerations, foreign body removal, minor burns, ingrown nails
- Punctures, animal or bug bites, allergic reactions
- Urinary tract infections, abdominal pain, STD screening
- Nausea, vomiting, and dehydration
- Colds, flu, fever, sore throats, cough, asthma
- Ear aches, sinus and eye infections, skin infections, rashes
- Cuts and lacerations
Patients with severe or life-threatening symptoms should go to the nearest emergency room.
On‐site Diagnostics & Procedures
We offer a range of on-site services to evaluate and treat urgent medical concerns, including:
- Digital x‐rays at most locations
- EKG
- Phlebotomy and Lab services
- Pulmonary function testing
- Minor surgical procedures
- Tetanus booster for post‐injury
- Flu shots
- Drug and Alcohol screening
- Physicals – including sports, employment related and DOT (Department of Transportation)

You can walk in during clinic hours or save your spot online before arriving. No referral is needed.

You will complete a brief check-in when you arrive.
What to Bring
- Driver’s license or another form of government issued picture ID (such as a Passport)
- Insurance card(s)
- Payment for insurance co-pay or if you intend to self-pay (payment is due at the time of service)
- Other items you can bring to help us serve you better:
- List of your current medications
- List of past surgeries and medical conditions
- List of any allergies (including medications and environmental)
Timeframe
Urgent Care locations are open seven days a week. Wait times may vary depending on patient volume and the urgency of conditions being treated.
