Imaging Services

Advanced imaging services, from routine X-rays to specialized scans.

Kootenai Health offers the most highly accredited imaging center in the region right here in the community—from mammograms and X-rays to CT and MRI scans—using the latest medical technology so your provider gets clear, accurate answers.

Most imaging is painless, and today's equipment uses far less radiation than ever before. We serve patients of every age, from children to seniors, and our team walks you through each step so you know what to expect.

Imaging is available at the main Kootenai Health campus or at Kootenai Outpatient Imaging, depending on your referral. We'll work with your schedule to get you in quickly, so you and your provider have results promptly.

“I was impressed by how quickly everything moved. Outpatient Scheduling reached out and got me in for an appointment the same day. I was called back within five minutes of checking in, and my primary care provider had my ultrasound results within an hour. Thank you, Kootenai Health, for your outstanding care and service.”

Imaging Specialties

A CT scan gives your doctor a fast, non-surgical way to see inside your body. It combines X-ray technology with computer imaging to create detailed pictures of your organs, bones and tissue, which can help diagnose injuries, illness, or conditions that aren't visible with a standard exam.

Your doctor may order a CT scan if you're injured, ill, or if they need more specific information than a routine exam can provide.
