Multiple Sclerosis (MS)
The Inland Northwest's dedicated MS team is here.
MS is unpredictable—and it's more common in North Idaho than most people realize. It touches how you move, work, think, and feel day to day. Managing it well means paying attention to all of it, not just the neurological piece. Our approach to MS care treats the whole person—and in 2022, the National Multiple Sclerosis Society named Kootenai Health Neurology a Center for Comprehensive MS Care for exactly that reason.
You'll find access to clinical trials, emerging treatments, and a specialty pharmacy team right in the clinic. They manage your medications, monitor interactions, and handle insurance approvals so it’s one less thing to navigate on top of everything else.
However you arrived at this point—new symptoms or an existing diagnosis—we've got you from here.

Specialty Pharmacy Support
MS medications aren't like most prescriptions.
Insurance classifies them as specialty drugs. They’re complex to evaluate, hard to get approved, and expensive without the right support. Having a specialty pharmacy team in the clinic means someone with trained expertise is working directly with you to find the right medication, monitor for interactions, handle prior authorizations and insurance appeals, identify specialty pharmacies, and help with copay assistance when costs get in the way.
You focus on managing MS. They handle the rest.
