B3 Program
B3 Program
Mental health and substance use support during pregnancy and beyond.
If you’re pregnant and navigating substance abuse, recovery, or a mental health diagnosis, you don’t have to manage on your own.
Through the B3 program (Brain, Birth, Babe), you’ll be supported by a coordinated team of experts from Kootenai Clinic Family Medicine and Kootenai Health Chemical Dependency Program. From now through the first year of your baby’s life, these physicians, nurses, nutritionists, mental health providers, and educators will guide your medical care and support you both physically and emotionally—with no judgment and with full confidentiality. They’ll partner with you to craft an individual care plan that works for your situation. And they’ll work together to juggle the details of your plan so you can focus on yourself and your baby. In addition to medical care, you’ll get resources to help you have a substance-free pregnancy, develop confidence through parenting skills, and connect with community resources and ongoing support.
