Summary
I believe the foundation of excellent care is listening. Every patient has a unique story, and understanding their symptoms, concerns, values, and goals is essential to providing thoughtful, individualized care. I encourage open communication and shared decision-making, creating an environment where patients feel respected, heard, and empowered to take an active role in their health. By taking the time to build genuine relationships, I can better understand each person’s needs and develop care plans that reflect what matters most to them.
My approach to treatment is collaborative and evidence based. I work closely with patients to develop personalized treatment plans that prioritize the least invasive, most effective options whenever appropriate. I also coordinate with other health care providers and trusted specialists to ensure comprehensive, seamless care, while helping patients stay on track with preventive screenings, nutrition, and other resources that support long-term wellness.
Medicine has been part of my life from an early age. Growing up, I watched my father, the first Internal Medicine physician in Coeur d’Alene, care for patients and the community, which inspired my own path into medicine. I chose Internal Medicine because I enjoy the complexity of caring for adult patients and the challenge of managing chronic conditions and multifaceted medical issues. One of the greatest privileges of my career has been developing long-term relationships with patients and, in many cases, caring for multiple generations of their families.
Outside of work, I enjoy reading, gardening, and needlework.
