Summary
I enjoy taking care of patients of all ages, from the first moments of life to the last. Family Medicine allows continuity of care and fosters relationships that improve the health of my patients. The richness of these relationships is the most fulfilling aspect of practicing Family Medicine. I strongly believe in preventive medicine, which allows me to keep people healthy and prevent diseases first and foremost. I believe that applying the principles of public health and practicing evidence-based medicine in the context of each patient’s life is the most effective way to achieve healthy populations and individuals.
I was born and raised in Wisconsin. I am married with two small children. My wife, Katie, is a nurse. I lived in Boise while completing residency and working as faculty at the Family Medicine Residency of Idaho from 2007 to 2013. I enjoy spending time with my family, hiking, camping, playing guitar, gardening, running and bicycling.
My professional interests include: Full Spectrum Family Medicine, Family Medicine Education, Public Health, Infectious Diseases and Evidence-Based Medicine.
