Summary
It is an honor to be a family medicine doctor and to grow with the families that I take care of. What initially attracted me to family medicine were the challenges of a diverse patient population and the continuity of care that extended through obstetrics, pediatrics and internal medicine. I have a special interest in pediatrics, obstetrics/women’s health and integrative medicine.
I attended college and medical school at the University of Washington. In college I was a cheerleader for UW and I still love supporting the UW Huskies football and basketball teams. I graduated from UW School of Medicine with High Honors and was the President of Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society. For residency my husband and I did the couples match and moved to Portland, OR for four years while we completed our residency training. After residency we were looking to move to a smaller town closer to our family and we were thrilled to move to Coeur d’Alene in 2013 and have loved our new community. In addition we both love teaching and I enjoy working in the family medicine residency training the next generation of doctors. The energy and passion I see in medical students and residents is inspiring in my own clinical practice. In my spare time my husband and I love to travel, cook, spend time outdoors and scuba dive.
