Summary
My philosophy of care begins with getting to know my patients as individuals. I strive to understand their priorities, goals, and how the health concerns bringing them to my office affect their daily lives. By combining that understanding with a thorough evaluation of their medical condition, I work alongside each patient and caregiver to develop a plan that helps them live as fully and independently as possible.
I believe effective care starts with a clear understanding of the underlying medical issues. Together, we establish a path forward that is tailored to each person’s unique situation. For patients living with epilepsy and seizure disorders, I view care as a long-term partnership and remain committed to helping them achieve the greatest possible benefit from their treatment over time.
Respect is fundamental to every patient relationship. Each person comes with their own values, preferences, and priorities, and I strive to develop treatment plans that are both medically appropriate and aligned with what matters most to them.
Medical and surgical treatments can offer significant benefits, but they also come with potential risks and tradeoffs. My role is to help patients understand their options, carefully weigh the advantages and disadvantages, and make informed decisions together about the approach that best fits their goals and circumstances.
I chose to specialize in neurology, and particularly epilepsy care, because neurologic conditions can have a profound impact on a person’s quality of life. Fortunately, we have effective treatments that can make a meaningful difference. I find it deeply rewarding to partner with patients as they navigate these challenges and work toward improved health, independence, and well-being.
Outside of medicine, my faith and my family are central to my life. My wife and children are tremendous blessings, and I am grateful for the opportunity to dedicate my time and energy to both my family and my patients.
