What to Expect

Your Visit to the Specialty Procedures Area

The Specialty Procedures Area is where specialists perform procedures that require additional equipment, sedation or anesthesia. Depending on your procedure, your visit may include preparation, the procedure itself and a recovery period before you're discharged home.

Our specialty-trained nurses will guide you through each step, answer your questions and monitor you throughout your recovery before you're ready to leave.

Preparing for Your Procedure

Before your appointment, you'll receive instructions tailored to your procedure, including eating and drinking restrictions, medication guidance and arrival information. Following these instructions is an important part of helping your procedure go safely and as planned.

Before you leave, we'll review your results when appropriate, provide personalized recovery instructions and explain any follow-up care recommended by your physician.
