Podiatry

Podiatry

Expert foot care for every step you take.

Your feet do a lot of work. When every step hurts—or a foot problem keeps you from moving the way you want to—it can affect far more than your feet. Heel pain, an injury, a stubborn ingrown toenail or changes related to diabetes are all reasons to see a podiatrist.

At Kootenai Clinic, our board-certified podiatrist cares for foot, ankle and lower-extremity conditions in patients of all ages, with both nonsurgical and surgical treatment options. Your podiatrist also works closely with other Kootenai Health specialists, including foot and ankle orthopedics, primary care, and our Wound Care team.

Addressing foot problems early can help you find the right treatment and keep moving comfortably.

Preventative Foot Care

Routine screenings
Podiatrists identify early signs of poor circulation, loss of feeling, and infections, to prevent complications that could otherwise lead to surgery, hospitalization, or limb loss.
“I felt listened to, cared for and confident in my treatment. Most importantly, I’m back on my feet and doing the things I love.”

Protecting Diabetic Feet

Diabetes can affect circulation and sensation in your feet, which means small problems can become more serious before you notice them. Regular podiatry visits can help catch changes early and protect your foot health over time.

We work closely with your primary care provider or endocrinologist to monitor changes and manage concerns like neuropathy, infection and ulcers.
