Kootenai Clinic Dermatology provides personalized medical dermatology, primarily for adults and teens. We diagnose and treat common and complex conditions affecting the skin, hair and nails—from acne, eczema and psoriasis to hair loss, pigment changes and skin cancer. Your treatment is based on what we find, your individual needs and your goals.

Skin & Growth Removal

We offer in-office treatment and removal of many common skin growths and concerns, including:

Cyst removal
Mole removal
Skin tag removal
Seborrheic keratosis removal
Cryotherapy

Skin Cancer Procedures

If skin cancer is found, our dermatology team will recommend treatment based on the type and extent of the cancer. Options may include:

For smaller, superficial skin cancers:

Cryosurgery
Curettage and electrodessication
Medicated skin creams
Surgical excision

When surgery is needed:
Surgical excision may be appropriate for basal cell carcinoma, squamous cell carcinoma and many melanomas. For larger, more extensive surgeries, our dermatology team works with Kootenai Clinic Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery for cancer removal.
