Summary
I believe the best care begins by meeting patients where they are. Whether someone is preparing for the birth of a baby, navigating the postpartum period, or seeking routine women’s healthcare, my goal is to create a safe, supportive environment where they feel heard, respected, and empowered to make informed decisions. Safety is always my top priority, both physically and emotionally, and I encourage patients to ask questions, share concerns, and actively participate in every aspect of their care.
I believe birth is a natural process that often requires minimal intervention while recognizing the importance of advanced medical care when it is needed to achieve the safest outcome. I take the time to explain all available options so patients can make the choices that are right for their unique circumstances. As part of a collaborative midwifery team, we work closely together and partner with physicians and specialists to provide seamless, comprehensive care whenever additional expertise is needed.
I knew from the first birth I witnessed in nursing school that caring for women would be my life’s work. More than 30 years later, I still consider it a privilege to support women and their families through some of life’s most meaningful moments. I also enjoy caring for women throughout every stage of life, from a young woman learning about her health to someone navigating menopause, and I love seeing patients grow in confidence as they care for themselves.
Outside of work, I enjoy spending time on my small farm, gardening, caring for my goats, and taking advantage of everything North Idaho has to offer.
