Summary
I believe patient-centered care begins with truly understanding each patient—their story, values, and unique circumstances. I strive to foster open, respectful communication so patients feel heard and empowered to actively participate in their care. By honoring cultural identities and personal priorities, I create a safe and supportive environment where decisions reflect what matters most. I collaborate with patients and families to develop individualized care plans and build lasting relationships that extend beyond the clinical setting.
Continuity of care is essential for the best outcomes. I coordinate with other healthcare providers to ensure a comprehensive, integrated approach, identify and close care gaps, and connect patients with trusted local and regional partners.
Respect guides every interaction. I honor each patient’s preferences and goals, making shared decision-making a priority. In treatment planning, I focus on the least invasive, most effective interventions, regularly reviewing medications and exploring alternatives to minimize risk and align care with patient goals.
I chose internal medicine because it combines critical thinking with long-term patient relationships. This specialty allows me to support patients across the spectrum of health—from prevention to complex chronic disease—while advocating for their well-being throughout their health journey.
Outside of work, I enjoy travel, exploring the outdoors, crafting and art, furniture making, good food, and spending time with my dogs.
