Summary
I believe the best care begins with education, communication, and partnership. My role is to provide patients with clear, evidence-based information so they can fully understand their condition and treatment options. When patients are well informed, they are empowered to make decisions that align with their goals, values, and lifestyle. I encourage open conversations and shared decision-making, involving family members and loved ones whenever appropriate.
Every patient is unique, and there is rarely a single “right” approach to treatment. In some cases, surgery may be the best option; in others, nonoperative care or even no treatment may be the most appropriate path. I respect each patient’s preferences and work collaboratively to develop an individualized treatment plan that focuses on the least invasive, most effective approach while maximizing function and helping patients return to the activities they enjoy as efficiently and safely as possible. When additional expertise is needed, I coordinate care with trusted local and regional specialists to ensure comprehensive treatment.
I am formally trained as a plastic and reconstructive surgeon, with hand surgery serving as a core component of that training. I enjoy the opportunity to restore function, relieve pain, and help patients regain independence through personalized care and thoughtful treatment planning.
Outside of work, I enjoy alpine skiing and photography.
