Pam Holcomb graduated from the Frontier School of Midwifery and Family Nursing (now known as Frontier Nursing University) in 1982 with dual certification as a Certified Nurse-Midwife and a Family Nurse-Practitioner. She was the first CNM to practice in Coeur d’Alene in 1991. She received her Master of Science in Nursing in 2013.Her experience includes nurse-midwifery in rural Appalachia and at a birth center on the border of Texas and Mexico. Pam has a passion for travel and international health care. She has traveled with her children to Thailand and India with Habitat for Humanity. Pam is a consultant for the American College of Nurse-Midwives Global Outreach Department and has taught Life Saving Skills to midwives in Pakistan, Namibia and Nigeria, with the goal of decreasing maternal and neonatal mortality rates.Pam and her husband enjoy scuba diving, skiing, gardening, reading and kayaking. They are the parents of two adult children.
