Care Philosophy

I believe exceptional care begins with building meaningful relationships. I take the time to get to know each patient's unique circumstances, goals, and priorities so we can work together to develop a personalized plan of care. I encourage open, honest conversations and welcome the involvement of family members and loved ones whenever it supports the patient's wishes. My goal is to ensure every patient feels heard, respected, and empowered to be an active participant in their care.

Respect is the foundation of every patient relationship. I strive to treat each patient and their family with dignity, compassion, and empathy by listening carefully, communicating clearly, and creating an environment where questions and concerns are always welcome. I believe the most effective treatment plans are built through collaboration and should reflect each patient's values and goals. I also work closely with other healthcare providers and trusted local and regional specialists to ensure coordinated, comprehensive care throughout every stage of treatment and recovery.

I was drawn to cardiothoracic surgery because it offers the opportunity to care for patients during some of the most critical moments of their lives. I value the specialty's unique blend of technical expertise, complex decision-making, and continuity of care from the preoperative period through recovery. It is incredibly rewarding to work alongside a dedicated team to help patients regain their health and improve their quality of life. Outside of work, I enjoy spending time outdoors with my family, especially camping, hiking, and enjoying water and snow sports.
