Summary
I take the time to understand each patient’s unique situation and personality, partnering with them to ensure they are active participants in their care. I deeply respect patient values and preferences, especially during times of illness, and prioritize open, honest communication.
Continuity of care is essential—I collaborate closely with other healthcare providers to deliver a comprehensive approach that supports overall health and well-being.
When managing foot and ankle issues, I offer a wide range of treatment options, from nonsurgical therapies like custom orthotics, bracing, and physical therapy, to surgical interventions tailored to each patient’s medical history, biomechanics, and lifestyle. I believe that careful planning and post-operative care are as important as the surgery itself, and I emphasize teamwork among providers to ensure the best outcomes.
After a brief career teaching chemistry and coaching soccer, I chose podiatry for its balance of hands-on patient care, diverse practice opportunities, and meaningful relationships. I often have the privilege of caring for multiple generations within the same family. Teaching remains a core part of my approach, helping patients understand their options and feel confident in their care.
Outside of work, I enjoy skiing, mountain biking, hiking, dog walking, sailing, and binge-watching cooking shows featuring Jacques Pépin and Julia Child. I also love planning new adventures—both for myself and with my patients.
