Summary
I believe meaningful care begins with taking the time to understand each patient as an individual. I want my patients to feel heard, respected and comfortable being active participants in their care. Through open communication and shared decision-making, we can develop an individualized treatment plan that reflects each patient’s needs, values, circumstances and personal goals.
Mental health care is rarely one-size-fits-all. I focus on the least invasive, most effective approach whenever possible and regularly evaluate medications and potential alternatives to ensure treatment continues to serve the patient’s needs. I also value continuity and collaboration with other health care providers and trusted community resources to support the whole person and provide comprehensive, coordinated care.
I chose psychiatry because mental health touches people from every background and walk of life, and the mission is personal to me. I have seen the profound impact that inadequate mental health care can have on individuals and families, but I have also seen how compassionate, effective treatment can transform lives. My goal is to be part of a collaborative care team that helps patients overcome challenges, achieve their goals and build happier, more fulfilling lives.
