Summary
I believe high-quality healthcare is built on trust, respect, and collaboration. I am committed to ensuring patients feel informed and supported throughout their care journey, honoring their preferences and values while helping them understand their treatment options. By fostering open communication and shared decision-making, I strive to provide care that is both compassionate and personalized.
Continuity of care is essential to achieving the best outcomes, particularly in complex surgical specialties. I work closely with physicians, nurses, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure a coordinated, comprehensive approach that supports patients before, during, and after treatment. I also regularly review medications and treatment plans to ensure care remains appropriate, effective, and aligned with each patient’s needs.
I chose cardiothoracic surgery because it offers the intellectual challenge, teamwork, and opportunity to make a meaningful difference in patients’ lives. The complexity of the specialty and the ability to work alongside a highly skilled team to achieve positive outcomes continue to make this field both rewarding and inspiring.
As a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner with more than 10 years of experience in cardiothoracic surgery, I am passionate about helping patients navigate complex health conditions with confidence and support. I also serve as an instructor for Advanced Cardiac Life Support and other national certification courses, which allows me to contribute to the education and development of healthcare professionals.
Outside of work, I enjoy gardening, baking, reading, and spending time with my pets, family, and friends.
