Summary
As a certified nurse midwife, I believe every woman deserves compassionate, personalized care and the opportunity to be an active participant in every decision about her health. My role is to provide complete, accurate, evidence-based information so my patients can make informed choices that align with their values, goals, and the needs of their families. I see myself as a partner in care, working alongside each patient with respect, honesty, and open communication.
The most rewarding part of my career has been building long-term relationships with the women and families I serve. Over the past 17 years, I’ve had the privilege of caring for many patients through multiple pregnancies, annual visits, and life’s changing seasons. Those relationships allow me to truly understand each family’s hopes, concerns, and individual needs, and they are the reason I love coming to work each day. Seeing familiar faces around our community and sharing in their journeys is one of the greatest joys of being a midwife.
I believe exceptional care is built on collaboration. While I care for women with normal, low-risk pregnancies and gynecologic concerns, I also work closely with an outstanding team of physicians, behavioral health specialists, family medicine providers, and hospital-based obstetricians to ensure every patient receives the expertise and support they need. Whether a patient’s care remains with me or requires additional specialists, my goal is to provide seamless, comprehensive care without disrupting the trusted relationships we’ve built.
I also believe that health care decisions belong to the patient. My responsibility is to explain current recommendations, discuss the full range of treatment options, and help patients understand the benefits and risks of each approach. Together, we create a plan that reflects what is best for the individual and their family while using the least invasive, most effective approach whenever appropriate.
Midwifery is more than a profession to me—it is a calling. It has been an incredible honor to walk alongside women during some of the most joyful, challenging, and meaningful moments of their lives. Helping them feel cared for, supported, and empowered continues to be the greatest privilege of my career.
Outside of work, I enjoy life on our family farm with my husband and our three wonderful sons, where we raise animals, grow flowers and vegetables, and make time for a great book whenever I can.
