Summary
I believe the best orthopedic care begins with listening. Every patient has unique goals, concerns, and priorities, and I take the time to understand their individual situation before developing a treatment plan. Through open communication and shared decision-making, I strive to ensure patients are informed, involved, and confident in every step of their care.
Healthy feet and ankles often require a multidisciplinary approach, and I work closely with primary care providers, physical therapists, and other specialists to provide coordinated, comprehensive care. My goal is to develop individualized treatment plans that not only address the current problem but also help patients return to the activities they enjoy with the best possible long-term outcome.
I believe medical decision-making is a partnership between the patient and provider. Whenever possible, I begin with the least invasive, most effective treatment options. Many foot and ankle conditions can be successfully managed without surgery, and I explore those approaches first. When surgery becomes the best option, I ensure patients understand their choices and what to expect so we can move forward together with confidence.
I chose orthopedic surgery because it allows me to solve complex problems while helping people regain mobility, reduce pain, and improve their quality of life. My specialty training in foot and ankle surgery enables me to care for a wide range of conditions, from sports injuries and arthritis to deformities, instability, and complex reconstructive procedures. It is incredibly rewarding to help patients return to the activities they love.
Outside of work, I enjoy golfing, tennis, hiking, pickleball, cheering on the Washington State Cougars, and spending time with my wife and young family.
