I couldn't be happier with my experiences with both Dr. DeTar and his wonderful staff. I was actually referred to a different surgeon and I do believe it was by God's grace and guidance I found Dr. deTar instead. To me a good measure of care is to be treated as if I were their family member. Maybe I aim high there? But that's exactly what I want-- to be given the care they'd give a family member. You know right off the bat when this is the case. There's no doubt I was treated that way! I loved his nurse too. She was very thorough, kind, caring and compassionate too! The office staff super kind and efficient at what they do. Super smooth, painless process - minus the surgical parts!:)) but that was handled very well too. They've got a superb team there. The surgical results [which really matter] are icing on the cake- they exceeded my expectations! Highly recommend this Dr and his team.

Dr. De Tar exceeded expectations. His bedside manner was second to none. I had a minor surgical procedure performed on my upper right arm. I was able to drive myself home, it has been 1 week since and all is well. I would highly recommend Dr de Tar!

Extremely skilled and competent surgeon with great bedside manners. He not only resolved the emergency complications I was experiencing, but he also corrected an incision (performed by a different Dr) from a surgery I had 10 days prior to my emergency. When it comes to Drs in CDA, I wish he could be my primary! If you have this surgeon, you are in excellent hands.

Ed de Tar is a perfectionist with a no nonsense bedside manner. He has performed a couple procedures for me using state-of-the-art equipment leaving me with little pain and recovery time. He is the best!!!

I'm 67 but Surgeries are new for me. First a colonoscopy, then a hernia surgery. Dr. DeTar did both of them. During the initial consultations he was informative and he took his time to explain everything to me and answer all of my questions, so that I could make an educated decision without any pressure.Dr. deTar was nice, easygoing and trust inspiring, I lost all my fear.. I am completely happy with the results of the procedures. Also his staff is great. They are easy to reach, helpful and friendly. Every time I reached out with some questions I got the help I needed. Thank you very much to all of you.

A very polite and caring facility. If unable to get one "fixed" so to speak, refers you to a specialist.
