Care Philosophy

My Relationship with My Patients

Foundational to my care philosophy is working together with my patients so they can be active participants in their care. I strive to build lasting relationships that go beyond just patient and provider and extend to being a member of the community.

My Practice

Nephrology can be complex, so it’s important to me to help identify and close care gaps with tools like health screenings, nutrition support, and other preventive measures. I work to understand and honor patient preferences and values when discussing treatment options, and I always invite patient input and make it a priority in planning their care.

Ultimately, I believe in understanding what's important for the patient so I can support them accordingly. I strongly believe in shared decision making with the patient when discussing treatment plans.

About Me

I chose to practice nephrology because it presents unique challenges that I find interesting. I feel this is an area where I can make a good impact for patients. In my free time, I enjoy hiking, camping, traveling, and home renovation.
