Kootenai Health recognized for Cardiac Surgery Excellence

November 17, 2020

Healthgrades released its Healthgrades Specialty Excellence Awards and Best Hospitals for Specialty Care report Oct. 20, recognizing several facilities for top-line care. Kootenai Health was recognized with the Cardiac Surgery Excellence Award™  for the third year in a row (2021, 2020, 2019). This award is given to those with superior clinical outcomes in heart bypass surgery and heart valve surgery.

Healthgrades analyzed clinical outcomes data for nearly 4,500 short-term and acute care hospitals across the U.S. Healthgrades uses multivariate logistic regression to account for patient demographics and clinical risk factors.
