Emergency Department Phase 1 Now Open

Phase 1 of Kootenai Health's Emergency Department expansion is now open to the public. This first phase of completed construction includes: 

• New emergency entrance, drop off area and updated waiting room
• A new “results waiting area” will provide a comfortable space for patients who are waiting for test results
• A newly designed ambulance drop off area that can handle five ambulances
• Updated parking lot to better direct traffic flow
• Large trauma rooms
• Specially designed rooms for behavioral health patients
