The Cuddler program is designed to support the development and growth of neonates by providing hospital trained volunteers to interact with premature babies during times when their parents aren’t able be with them at the hospital. Cuddler volunteers provide comfort and care for babies and help staff members meet the special needs of babies and their families. Volunteers will focus on full term babies that are born drug addicted and preterm babies that require nurturing.
Cuddler Time Commitment
Kootenai Health’s cuddlers are volunteering in 4 hour shifts between the hours of 4am and midnight 7 days a week. Each Cuddler volunteer has a weekly commitment of an assigned 4 hour shift that works best within their schedule.
