Dr. Blakeley was born in Texas and received his bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from Texas Tech University. After service in the Air Force, he returned to the University of Texas at Austin and then medical school at the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio. He attended Emory University in Atlanta for his Internal Medicine residency, fellowship in Cardiovascular Disease and fellowship in Interventional Cardiology. He practiced in Knoxville, Tennessee for 25 years and now he and his wife have come to north Idaho. He has two grown daughters, one in Dallas and one in Yellowstone National Park.
