Emmi grew up in Montana where she obtained her Bachelor of Science in Community Health from Montana State University. She received her Doctorate of Occupational Therapy degree from Pacific University. Emmi has experience working with Neurological impairments including stroke, traumatic brain injury, and spinal cord injury. She focused her doctoral internship on older adults and their capacity to engage in meaningful occupations through “aging in place” and remains enthusiastic about productive aging and stroke rehabilitation. Emmi’s passion and knowledge pushed her to earn her Stroke Rehabilitation Specialty Certification. Outside of Occupational Therapy, Emmi enjoys visiting her family in Montana, mountain biking, fly-fishing, crafting, and undertaking projects on her old home.
