From a consultation to follow-up diagnosis, treatment and prevention of cardiovascular diseases, heart patients receive a full spectrum of services at Kootenai Heart Clinics Northwest.
Each patient is assigned an individual primary cardiologist, who is typically the Heart Clinics cardiologist administering the initial consultation. Their long-term involvement provides continuity during the course of a patient’s cardiovascular care.
Whenever possible, the primary cardiologist will oversee a patient’s outpatient and hospital care. Occasionally, another Heart Clinics cardiologist will be referred for a specialized procedure. Emergency and after-hours care is provided by the on-call cardiologist.
Heart Clinics offers the following services:
- Heart Clinics Echocardiography Laboratories are accredited by the Intersocietal Commission for the Accreditation of Echocardiography Laboratories.
- Heart Clinics Nuclear Laboratories are accredited by the Intersocietal Commission for the Accreditation of Nuclear Medicine Laboratories, a voluntary certification demonstrating a commitment to excellence and providing high quality patient care.
Kootenai Heart Clinics Northwest supports multiple clinical trials and research opportunities for patients. If you are suffering from heart failure or high cholesterol and think you may qualify for a clinical trial, please contact our research department at HCNW-Research@kh.org.
