Illness can be a frightening and overwhelming experience.
Kootenai Health's Social Services is available to work for the patient and their family, in conjunction with physicians, nurses and other health care providers, to meet physical and emotional needs during and after hospitalization.
Hours of Operation
Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and on Saturdays and Sundays from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Connecting to Helpful Resources
Social Services works in a wide range of programs. Many of the challenges encountered during illness or injury recovery can be addressed through counseling, support groups and education and assistance on all types of resources in the area.
Social Services assists in planning care after discharge (equipment needs, in-home services, alternative placements for care), as well as accessing community services and funding sources for medications and medical treatment.
